11 Mar UPDATE: SOS: April 1-7
Due to a schedule change, we will now be hosting the SOS Program April 1-7. If you are able to help out this week we can use all the help we can get. Please contact Ken Ruszkowski or the call the Church office for more information on where we need volunteers.
What is SOS?
The South Oakland Shelter works with congregation partners throughout the year to meet the needs of those struggling with homelessness. Each week, a congregation takes on the responsibility of hosting SOS’s shelter guests and provides them with overnight accommodations, three daily meals, transportation, and meaningful interactions with caring volunteers.
What we’re doing?
Beginning Easter Sunday, St. Paul Lutheran Church will host 30-35 homeless men, women and children in our school building. For 7 days and 6 nights we will be their temporary shelter. We can’t do this without YOU!
